Scrapbook Express: Peace on Earth

Merry Christmas from Scrapbook Express! I'm sharing this card today on our blog. Be sure to stop by to see tips for layering embellishments and using this sophisticated color scheme.

myStampBOX: Tasty Treats

Our Design Team members joined forces today to share ideas for food packaging, layouts, and gift bags featuring stamps from myStamp BOX. Here's what I made:

I found this clever idea for melting chocolate in between two candy canes to create adorable heart treats from an online friend. My son, Matthew, decided that at least a few also needed green M&M's to add some traditional holiday color. I packaged up a few and made a topper using paper from product partner Canvas Corp.

Then I created a tag for the top that could be used on just about anything - a card, a gift bag, or even as an ornament! The background circle is also from Canvas Corp, but shh. It's actually from their Valentine collection, but since it has the words "love" and "chocolate" on it, I figured it was safe to use! I used some old-school single-ink stamping to create my design. Each item was stamped in just one color, cut and layered together as necessary. Some twine and bling on the tree was all it needed. Maybe if you're still on the nice list, some of the stamp sets that I used to make this treat bag topper will show up under you Christmas tree!

Be sure to stop by the myStamp BOX blog to see all the designer projects.

Merry Christmas!!

myStampBOX: Birthday Timeline

(Click on the photo for a closer look.)

Here's a quick look at a birthday card that is fast and easy to make. I selected coordinating patterned papers and stamped the dates and months from Timelines with the birthday square from All Year Round in black ink. Simple, bold, graphic design is not my comfort zone, but I love how this one turned out! Be sure to stop by the myStamp BOX store for these and more stamping goodies. Happy stamping!

myStampBOX: Christmas Tags

(Click each image for a closer look.)

Grownups like treat bags, too, so this year I decided to make a few for some special people in my life. I had fun designing tags for them using products from myStamp BOX.

Each tag started with the stitched tag stamp from Santa's Tags. I added a small ornament, holly, and stocking also from Santa's Tags. The small stars are from Deck the Halls. Some of the names for these special people fit by using the Splash Me a Little! set of stamps. I used a marker to write on the longer names. I wanted to add a more substantial image to the tags, so I stamped images from Dotty Christmas and colored in with markers. Then I tied them onto the curling ribbon for each treat bag using striped twine. These little gifts are going postal to some people I love, and I hope they enjoy them very much!

myStampBOX: Welcome, Baby

Recently our neighbors welcomed their first baby into the world. Little Camden is so precious! I made this card to accompany the gift we're taking to share with him. The card base and patterned paper are from partner company Canvas Corp.

I created a tiny stamped dot border on the kraft card base using Distress Ink and Itty Bittys. The pacifier image is from Bits and Pieces, and the sentiment is from Neighborhoods. The soft cream, blue, and brown is perfectly boyish for this occasion. Be sure to check out the myStamp BOX store for all your stamping needs!

myStampBOX DT Feature: Family & Home

Today the designers at myStamp BOX are sharing projects about family and home. It's the start of the holiday season, and we turned our attention to using stamping techniques to enhance all sorts of projects. Here's what I made:

I love this photos of my sons with their Grandmother, Patty. I am thankful that she and my father-in-law Miles moved to Indiana to be closer to us. We are able to share birthdays, anniversaries, and all sorts of holidays together. Our family time is very special!

I used Mini Pennants to create my own banner. The banner "string" was created from one of the border stamps from Repeat After Me. These stamps make it really easy to continue the line without mistakes in order to get a full twelve-inch border...or more!

The title on the postcard comes from Summer Alpha, a set I love to color in. I also added two medallions from Seal It! Be sure to stop by the myStamp BOX blog today for my family and home projects from our designers. Happy Thanksgiving!

myStampBOX: Fall Anniversary

Today I am blessed to celebrate my 16th wedding anniversary with my husband, Scott. Fall is our very favorite season, and October is our favorite month. We love everything about it! Having our wedding in October seemed the natural thing to do, and every year we feel doubly-blessed to share our special memories in a season bursting with rich colors, fragrant smells, and happy times. I made this card for him using Floating Leaves and Sigh Gush Gasp. I used a wet paintbrush to pull a little color from the stamped leaf images into the center to lightly color them. I love the soft look this technique creates without disturbing the stamped images. Check out the myStamp BOX store for these and other great stamp sets for all your projects.

Autumn with myStampBOX

It's finally fall! We love all thing autumn, and I embrace fall scrapbooking and cardmaking with a passion. Here's a card using Floating Leaves and watercolor stamping. I love how the Distress Ink colors blend perfectly on the stamp before you ever hit paper!

(Click on projects for a closer look!)

My seven year old son LOVES to read, so I made him a bookmark to take to school.

I stamped images from Boo! onto white cardstock and added some "Boo" letters from Splash Me a Little.

The final piece was the square from All Year Round.

I hope your autumn is particularly colorful!

myStampBOX: Alphabet All Play

Hungry for a little stamping inspiration? Today the Design Team members at myStampBOX are sharing projects featuring our alphabet stamp sets. Here's the project I made using a product from our partner Canvas Corp:

(Click on photos for a closer look!)

I used the Splash Me a Little alphabet set to create a block of ABC's. I stamped all the letters at one time in black Archival ink WITHOUT the letters H and I. It took me a few tries to make sure that all my letters stamped evenly on a large block, but with a little extra muscle it turned out great!

Then I stamped the letters H and I using Broken China Distress ink and fit them into their proper place in the alphabet block. The sweet "Hi" sentiment pops right out because of the different color.

I also stamped my little pal from Holiday Monkey and pieced him together using a few color of cardstock. I designed my own heart-shaped balloon and popped it up on the card using foam adhesive and some twine wrapped around the monkey's hand. I really love the finished canvas, it's so happy!

myStampBOX: Clearsnap Partner Project

The designers at myStampBOX and Clearsnap joined forces this week to enjoy each other's products. Today I get to share what I made!

Every once in a while I get on a jewelry-making kick, and this time was no exception! I stamped a piece of silver cardstock using ColorBox Sea Crystal Chalk Ink and Pigment Inks in Raisin and Blue Jean. I was inspired by the iridescent colors of the leaf beads and tried to match their hues in ink. The small leaf from A Flower For You was the perfect shape and size for this project.

Then I made a card to go with my jewelry piece. I stamped some images from Floating Leaves onto an ATC using Pigment Inks and heat set. Then I rubbed Guacamole and Sea Crystal Chalk Inks over the ATC, creating a batik-like effect. I restamped the leaf images using Raisin and Blue Jean Pigment Inks and heat set using Clear Top Boss embossing powder. The navy cardstock panel was embossed using a Cuttlebug embossing folder and rubbed with Wheatgrass Pigment Ink to enhance its texture.

I added a little sparkle to the main stamped leaf images using Frost Smooch Glitz. The sentiment was stamped in Raisin Pigment Ink from the Mention It stamp set and clear embossed as well.

I love getting a chance to combine myStampBOX stamps with other product partners, and Clearsnap is certainly a perfect match! Special thanks to the Clearsnap folks for sharing some goodies with us and teaming up to create awesome projects. Be sure to check out the myStampBOX and Clearsnap blogs today for more inspiration. Leave comments on both blogs for a chance to win prizes, too.

GOOD LUCK!

myStampBOX: KISS DT Feature

The designers at myStampBOX are sharing projects with simple stamping today on the blog. Ink and paper is where it's at! Hop on over to see what we made.

(click photo for a closer look)
Here's what I made! I used a Christmas (yes, Christmas!) card base from product partner Canvas Corp and stamped black rings from Funky Circles to create a fun border. I stamped a second layered ring stamp in Wild Honey Distress Ink and added a sentiment from Small Greetings right over the top. The sentiment circle was layered on cardstock and attached to the card using foam adhesive, allowing the message to pop up over the caterpillar-like border. Simple stamping, great result!

Be sure to check out all the KISS projects at the myStampBOX blog!

myStampBOX: 50th Birthday Card

This weekend I was honored to celebrate a friend's 50th birthday with him, and I made him this card to celebrate. I created my own background paper using a new CHA release stamp Decorative Strips designed by Karen Ellis.

I used it to cut the large 50 numbers using my Cricut. The sentiment at the bottom is from Birthday Numbers. I hope you can share your love of crafting with someone special just like I did. Happy stamping!
