myStampBOX Design Team: Embossing

Today the designers at myStampBOX are sharing projects featuring embossing of all sorts. I made a layout using six different myStampBOX stamp sets.

Here's where I used each stamp set:

Faux tape and large camera: Pixel Perfect
Title letters: Letterboxes
Photo corners in bottom border: Snapshot
Arrow: Road Trip
Again? word block: Review Time
Words in bottom border: Passport to Adventure

It was really fun to create my own embellishment using Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel (UTEE). I heat embossed eight layers of UTEE, creating a thick, glossy surface for my embellishment. When heated the final time, I pressed an inked stamp right into the melted UTEE to create the impression. After it fully cooled, I gently peeled off the stamp to create this unique embellishment.

myStampBOX: Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day! Here's a quick and easy card to make for someone special. Stamp the scribbled square from Back to the Basics on white cardstock for a cool background paper. I used chalk ink from our product partner Clearsnap. The sentiment from Straightforward is stamped onto a subtle honeycomb paper. By keeping the color palette cool and calm, I was able to use several different patterns on the same card. This set is a must-have for any cardmaker. Have an inky day!

Karen Foster Design: Mother's Day Card

Here's my first post of the week with ideas for making Mother's Day cards. I used paper and stickers from Karen Foster Design's new Mother collection. And yes, I DID use glittery fibers wrapped around my sentiment sticker just like a feather boa. What mom wouldn't deserve that?

myStampBOX: Gift Wrappings

Out of gift wrap supplies? Turn a scrap of cardstock and some plain tissue paper into snazzy wrappings! I used many colors of Distress Ink with the Funky Circles set to create my custom items. The sentiment is from Small Greetings. You always have time to jazz up a gift!
