myStampBOX: Easter & Pastel Inspiration

We're sharing pastel and Easter projects at the myStampBOX blog today. Come take a look at our "eggcellent" effort! *wink* I used the large flower (asterisk!) shape from the Oversized stamps and the sentiment from Mention It! The adorable bunny and eggs are from Karen Foster Design's Easter collection. Happy Easter!

My Core’dinations Creative Frenzy

Welcome to my little part of the blogosphere where things are usually pretty inky and distressed. I'm happy to share some new Core'dinations creations with you. Since I finally decided to stop hoarding and actually USE this amazing set of products, my scrapping life has never been the same.

My first layout (above) features Core Impressions Cosmo Cricket Neutrals and Jenni Bowlin Red and Black collections. These pre-embossed notepads are by far my favorite products from Core'dinations. I love that they color and theme-match with so many different paper companies. For those of use who started out by embossing all our own designs, these ready-made versions are fast and easy! I especially love sanding and inking over the designs. My second project is a card for my lovely niece Lauren who turns 22 tomorrow. Like her, it's a little bit vintage and a LOT glam! I did all the embossing on Black Magic Core'dinations and added a border strip of Core Couture for extra zing. There's even an extra backing piece of purple Vintage Collection in there! And bling. Did I mention bling? My final project features more Vintage Collection for the die cut title and blue flowers. I matted all the photos using yummy brown and red Chocolate Box Core'dinations.
The title block was cut from more Core Impressions Cosmo Cricket Neutrals. I love how it looks like weathered driftwood, just perfect for my tropical theme.

The flower in the middle is made from the Whitewash Collection. I love how this cardstock holds up so well to distressing and all the fiddling used to create handmade flowers.

I was honored to share some projects on the Core'dinations blog back in February. Those two projects have become some of my favorites ever! I also have several other Core'dinations projects in my gallery. I would be thrilled and honored to be chosen as a member of the next Core'dinations Design Team. Thanks for giving me a chance to share my work! Good luck to everyone who applies.

myStampBOX + Karen Foster Design: Hee Haw Happy

It's a double whammy today! I'm posting all the stamping details for this fun layout over at the myStampBOX blog today, so go check it out. I've got four sets of stamps on there, how fun! I also used the Walk in the Park sheet of patterned paper from Karen Foster Designs' Family Fun collection. You can use this sheet of paper for so many different types of photos: camping, playing in the park, geocaching, bike riding, you name it! The stitching was done with a Honeydew Scrappers Spool. Thanks for checking it out.

Karen Foster Design: April 2011 Collections

Karen Foster Design released six new awesome collections this April, and here are the projects that I was able to design using two of them.

Family Reunion

Aren't the photos on this layout hilarious? I snapped the photo on the left during our trip to visit my sister and nieces in North Carolina. One afternoon we went to a local park to feed the ducks, and as usual some family hilarity ensued. The sassy sayings on the word collage paper are just perfect for my nutty family! Check out the cool metal brad in the upper left corner, too.

One of the cutest parts of this line are the adorable sheep...black sheep and all! Every family has one, and now you can play it up. (You know you want to.) And can you say....mmmm, sparkle brad?

Finally I made a quick little picnic menu using the fun food and drink stickers and papers. Letter stickers and Stickles sparkle on the ice cubes in the soda cups were the perfect touch.

Water Fun

It's nearly time for new water photos, or if you're like me you're still scrapping photos from last year's adventures (or before!!) Karen Foster Design makes some of the best papers for fussy-cutting - the waves, sun, and sliding tube were super simple to handcut. Touches of Stickles and lots of Crazy Coil Brads were added as well.

My pool party invitation went together in a snap! I used a pre-embellished Stacked Journaling frame with letter stickers and part of another sticker to create my custom card. It couldn't be easier to look cool in the pool this summer.

Be sure to check out our new Golf, Graduation, BBQ & Picnic, and Patriotic collections as well. Karen Foster Design is ready to handle all your summer scrapping needs!

I'm excited to introduce a very talented designer - Wendy Morris. Here's a note from Wendy:

Hello! I’m a Southern girl from Alabama. I’m super excited to join the My Stamp Box design team! I’m always inspired by things around me and make time each day for art....living in the motto to “find inspiration everyday everywhere”. It’s funny that when I’m not creating I’m usually jotting down ideas for creations later once back in my art room. Since scrapbooking 15+ years ago, I've been addicted since the beginning. I have a strong passion for life art, lots of creative spirit, and fearless in working with new products and techniques. My style would be defined as blending the old + new + typically adding stamping in the mix. During the day, I work full-time as an audit manager. I also love to travel, photography, cooking, and reading. Come visit my blog to see my latest projects.

Now…. Check out our next new design team member and a fun card at Allison's blog!
