A State of Euphoria

Oh goodie! The January-June DT at Scrapbooker Online was treated to the new Basic Grey Euphoria collection for projects in July. Here are my first two layouts. The first features a photo I took at Conner Prairie in April. Details are here.

Here's the project I made last week. This little darling is a neighbor and friend, and I am honored to be able to scrap her sweet photo. Details are here.

Wicked Awesome Scrapworks!

It's Wicked Awesome Thursday at Scrapbooker Online, so here are some new projects. Our new sponsor for the month is Scrapworks. We are using their Magpie line which is really cool. The layout posted above is of Ian on his last day of school with his first grade teachers. I also used a cool acrylic shape from our other sponsor, Clear Scraps. Details are here.

This layout is the official kick off to summer in our house. We broke out the sprinkler in the backyard for a little clean fun. Can't you just feel his excitment? Details are here.

Take Time

It's Wicked Awesome Thursday at SBO! Take a look at this layout I made using supplies from Paper Trunk and Clear Scraps. This photo has been one of my favorites from this spring, and I think this layout really shows it off. You can see the details here. Don't forget to sniff a few flowers along the way!

May at (Some) Assembly Required and More!

This is going to be one jam-packed post! Let's start with the SBO Design Team project for this week. Our sponsors for May are Paper Trunk, Glue Arts and Clear Scraps. Can I get a *whohoo*?? I ran the clear arrow through an embossing folder and added StazOn ink to the back. That was really fun, and I love how it looks. Details for this layout are here.

This fun little number comes courtesy of Di Hickman's May layout sketch. I had to turn the sketch sideways to fit the photos I wanted to use. I also got a chance to play with some new 7 Gypsies paper. And who doesn't love a punny title? Details are here.

The final project for this mega post is an altered birdhouse I made for the May challenge at (Some) Assembly Required. I don't think I'm done with it yet, but I wanted to get it finished enough for the blog upload. I bet you'll see this little beauty again with some more embellishments and such once the dust settles from all the National Scrapbooking Day hoopla. Speaking of which, if you're looking for me on Saturday May 3rd you'll be able to find me all over the net. Hope I bump into you!

Play Ball

It's our last week of SBO DT projects using Karen Foster Designs. This week was all about baseball. I took Ian out in the backyard to hit a few balls, and guess who joined in? Rusty just about had a fit trying to get the ball, so we decided to make him part of the photo shoot. So glad we did! Details for this layout are here.

All Shook Up

Nothing like starting out your morning with an earthquake! Good times, good times.

On to the artwork! My first project is made with Karen Foster goodies, our sponsor at SBO this month. The photos are of hubby's great grandfather and great uncle. How cool is that? Details are here.

My other project was for a special SBO article all about ribbons. Take a look, there are some great projects there that cover cards, layouts and altered art. Details for my notebook can be found here.

This Boy: Color Challenge

The Design Team at Scrapbooker Online is hosting color combination challenges for the month of April. The first colors up are cream, chocolate brown, robin's egg blue and green. Here's what I made using those colors. The rub on frame was a serious PAIN to apply, but the effect makes the effort totally worthwhile. I added the rub on words and arrow at the end. The photos are what make this layout for me. Matty is such a ham (and he totally knows it!) Details for this layout are here. Come join us and try your hand at scrapping with these yummy colors!

One Heart One Mind at SBO

It's WAT at Scrapbooker Online, so here's my DT project for the week using supplies from our sponsor One Heart One Mind. I was absolutely floored with surprise when Scott sent me my favorite roses on Valentine's Day (while he was working in Puerto Rico), and I wanted to scrap the note that came with them to let him know how much his thoughtfulness means to me. Details for this layout can be found here.

And stop by SBO's 3rd Anniversary Crop for challenges, games and lots of prizes. During our chat last night owner Maryfrances handed out several yummy gifts! Way to go, big sis.

WAT Did you Say?

It's Wicked Awesome Thursday (WAT) at Scrapbooker Online which means Design Team uploads! I made this layout of Matthew using WorldWin Treasures textured cardstock and just a few other supplies. I have to admit that this layout feels positively NAKED to me, but I have gotten lots of nice comments on it so far. You can see the details here.

I have also been tagged by my Aussie friend, Kjirsten. Here are the rules:
1. Once you are tagged, link back to the person who tagged you.
2. Post THE RULES on your blog.
3. Post 7 weird or random facts about yourself on your blog.
4. Tag 7 people and link to them.
5. Comment on their blog to let them know they have been tagged.

My random facts are:
1. My favorite ice cream is Heavenly Hash which most stores now call Rocky Road.
2. My favorite color is red.
3. My hair requires conditioner every day.
4. My in laws now live 6 miles away. What a blessing to have family so close!
5. I gave up chocolate for Lent.
6. I frequently refer to my two boys as "monkeys."
7. I can't swim.

So at the risk of losing their friendship, I am tagging: Carolyn, Celeste, Nicole, Gina, Beth, Bety and Leslie. Please don't hate me.

Feelin' the Love

This is my final Valentine mailbox for 2008, I swear! I made a few mini-sized ones for Scrapbook Corner to use as display samples, and I also made larger ones for each of Ian's two homeroom teachers. I am excited to see them in use at the Valentine party on Friday afternoon. Click here for project supplies and details.

I also made this layout for the PQR challenge at Scrapbooker Online. I had to use a punch, ribbon and a quote. Check out all the fun! You can see the details for this layout here.

Shop Til You Drop

It's Wicked Awesome Thursday at Scrapbooker Online, so that means Design Team uploads! Our sponsor for the entire 2008 calendar year is WorldWin Papers, and this month we are doing a special cardstock-only month featuring their products. My first project is a shopping list made from one of their kraft cards, Crafty Board chipboard, two kinds of cardstock and my Zutter Bind-It-All. I love how practical this is!

Yesterday Di Hickman also released her latest card sketch, so this was my interpretation. I love the distressed look of these My Mind's Eye papers, so I continued the look by roughing up the edges. I punched a scalloped circle from Worldwin ruche paper which has a cool crepe paper texture. A little grungeboard coated in ink and Stickles was the perfect topper. I am tickled that so many of my DT projects this year turned out to be Valentines. I have to get them in the mail!

What's Black and White...

and all over my scrap desk? Cards!! I have gotten into a groove lately with black and white cards, sometimes with a little pop of color. Hobby Lobby's Creative Concepts magazine picked up the last one I posted a few days ago for their spring '08 magazine. This one features cardstock and mirror paper from WorldWin who is sponsoring the DT at Scrapbooker Online this year. Be sure to stop by SBO during the month of February when we will be showcasing several other exciting products from WorldWin.
