myStampBOX: Card Share

I'm finishing up my barrage of posts with some cards made for myStampBOX. These were made with two sets that I got while working at our CHA booth, so I was especially excited to ink them up!

Up first is this wild creation. I started with some Bo Bunny Zoology paper and stamped a giraffe and zebra border using the Graphic Borders stamps. The sentiment is stamped with a combination of Mini Alphas and Rustic Outlines. I finished things off with a little Karen Foster Design Scrappers Spools and a Zoology elephant charm.

Our AC went out this week, lucky us! I decided to think cool thoughts and paired up some new summer CHA release Karen Foster Design paper with the Let It Snow stamps from myStampBOX. The paper had the white snowflakes, so I added some in blue. The sentiment is also from this set. To further embellish the snowflakes I added pearl and rhinestone centers. Three snowflakes are adorned with tiny felted balls recreated from balls I purchased from Handbehg, a company I discovered at CHA. Be on the lookout for more projects using these little fuzzies! Click each photo for a closer look at all the texture.

Here's a closer look at the stamping and the goodies. Cute polar bear, huh? Thanks for stopping by!

myStampBOX: Stamped Letter

I had a blast altering this letter M for my pal Garland. Check out the myStampBOX blog for all the details!

Karen Foster Design: Ballet Collection

After several days of new holiday collections, today I'm sharing Karen Foster Design's new Ballet line. I know, I have two boys! But luckily my friend Carrie shared her little ballerina with me so I could show off this new collection. (Thanks, girls!)

What ballet project would be complete without a tutu? I created a tutu border using tulle, felt rick rack, and some new brads. Regular and layered stickers helped make this layout extra special.

I said tutu, right? I kept the theme going and altered this little trinket box with papers, stickers, ribbon, brads, and an enamel-finish brad as the centerpiece embellishment.

My final layout features one of the fabulous layered stickers, another enamel brad (love those!), Crazy Coil Brads, Birthstone Brads, and of course Scrappers Spools. I must confess, I'm a KFD brad junkie! I also handcut along a border that was preprinted on the dark pink paper instead of reaching for a border punch. The pattern was built right in!

Today is your last chance to leave a comment to be entered to win my awesome Autumn prize pack. I will leave comments open until Sunday July 31st and will announce the winner on August 1st. GOOD LUCK!

Karen Foster Design: Christmas Cooking Collection

Back again today with another new Karen Foster Design summer release. This one is called Christmas Cooking. Oh how yummy! It's packed with cocoa, cookies, and candy images.

First up is this fun card. I layered up several patterned papers and further embellished the candy cane sticker with Stickles, a gem brad, and a Scrappers Spool brow. The sentiment was created with KFD stickers on a die cut panel.

Last year I had a blast making a gingerbread house with Matthew. Neither one of us had the patience to create it the traditional way using icing to build the house structure, so we hot glued it together and covered the seams with frosting for a quick fix. Then we had fun creating everything from candy including a wreath and bow. The center of this layout has an embellishment border that would certainly give you a tummyache if it had been made from real candy! This layout certainly cures my sweet tooth in a calorie-free way. (Click for a closer look.)

Leave a comment on today's post (and any this week) for a chance to win my Autumn KFD embellishment pack. See you tomorrow with more designs!

Karen Foster Design: Hanukkah Collection

Today's new Karen Foster Design collection is for Hanukkah. This line features the traditional blue and gold colors with lots of embellishments mixed in.

My scrapping pal Louise kindly donated some holiday photos for me to use. I just love the photo of her husband and boys lighting candles - what a beautiful glow!

Karen Foster Design: Halloween Collection

Yay!! It's my very favorite subject to scrap, and Karen Foster Design has a knockout collection this year!

Gotta love a bloodthirsty kid!

This bag was so much fun to make! Who doesn't need bat-and-eyeball stamped tissue paper? You can't find that at Hallmark!

I discovered while stamping that the Crazy Coil brads fit perfectly as skull eyeballs. I used white to blend into my embossing, but red or green would be wonderfully ghoulish as well. Be on the lookout for these new products!

And keep commenting on Karen Foster Design posts this week for a chance to win my Autumn prize pack!

Karen Foster Design: Fall and Thanksgiving Collections

Today's Karen Foster Design post is feelin' fallish! We have two collections that coordinate beautifully. Up first is Autumn. Just LOOK at those new sparkle brads...drool!

For this card I die cut a large leaf using the collage paper and tied a bow using Scrappers Spools. I never get tired of using them!

Here's a layout using photos from our pumpkin patch last year. I handstamped the leaf and acorn background as well as on the twill ribbon.

Here's the Thanksgiving line that coordinates so well with Autumn.

I made a card with stamped pumpkins, leaves, and of course the sentiment. I also wrapped a punched scallop with a layer of Scrappers Spool. How many different ways can you think of to use this awesome product?

When your guests are enjoying Thanksgiving dinner, consider making a Gratitude box. Guests can write about something that they are thankful for, and everyone can share around the dinner table. This box makes a great container for a hostess gift or a favor box to send home goodies with your guests. I stamped the twill on this box, too.

Be sure to leave a comment on any and all Karen Foster Design project posts of mine this week to be entered to win an awesome prize including some of these Autumn embellishments. Good luck!

Karen Foster Design: Travel Collection

It's time for new Karen Foster Design summer release collections! Today I'm sharing projects using the new Travel line. I love LOVE the colors and motifs in this collection, and just look at those stamp sets. Whohoo! (Click each photo for a closer look.)

First up is a layout using photos from my recent mission trip to St. Louis with our church youth group. What an amazing experience with AWESOME kids! I printed my photos in sepia tone to match the colors in this line.

Next up is a cute travel log. I created this 6x8 mini album using cardstock and lots of yummies from this collection. I stamped all the signs, arrow, and stamps to create a base for my sticker letter title. The entire album is bound together with Scrappers Spools. Love those!

The album has a variety of pages inside, some covered with paper, others stamped and embellished. That gives me the most flexibility when filling it up with photos later.

This set of pages features a stamped border with images and sentiments. I changed up the ink colors for fun.

I even created some tags and a pocket for adding extra details. Check out this Travel collection as it hits your local scrapbook store!

Leave a comment on this post (and all Karen Foster Design posts this week) to be entered to win this fall embellishment pack of Karen Foster goodies! It has clear stamps, charms, Scrappers Spools, Birthstones Brads, and Crazy Coil brads. GOOD LUCK!

Karen Foster Design: Bride to Be Countdown Calendar

Click for a closer look.

Look what's new! The Design Team at Karen Foster Design has come up with some new themes for our awesome 3D Countdown Calendar, and here's the one I made. It features the spring Bride to Be papers, stickers, and embellishments. It was really fun trying to decide how to cover all the little drawers while still allowing the larger phrases to be seen. Of course it's all dolled up with Stickles and bling, perfect for a bride's last hoorah. Be on the lookout for more posts this week with projects featuring our Summer release collections. And I'm holding a giveaway, too, so look for details. Off to CHA in Chicago!
