A few of the myStampBOX Design Team are sharing New Year's project on the mSB blog today, be sure to stop by for some inspiration. Here's the card I made! I went for sparkles and bling to ring in the new year. I stamped the background with the "happy " stamp from Lots of Dots Sentiments and clear embossing powder onto black cardstock. To me, this was the "little black dress" of the card, a great base.
I used the clear acetate from a new package of myStampBOX stamps (yes, I save them!) and die cut it using the Tim Holtz Sizzix Baroque die. I mounted that with some foam adhesive onto a sparkly piece of patterned paper and highlighted the edges with silver Stickles. I stamped the sentiment from Straightforward onto another Tim Holtz die cut piece and embossed using Zing! silver glitter powder. It looked sad without its own round of Stickles on the edges, so I couldn't resist. I finished the card off with two fabulous Sparkle Burst brads from Karen Foster Design which remind me of New Year's fireworks.I hope your year has been crafty and full of fun.
